A pleasant walk by the lake. I imagine this is even better when the weather is warmer than the cold February day when we were there.

Couple visit on our way to Weston Park and the museum, and it's always a great delight to feed the wildlife. More ducks in the other park mind usually and they love brown breadcakes (provide seeds if you want people to feed them something else park keepers!) which they wolf down. A great stress reliever at any time of the... More

We visited this park with our two year old son and family dog it was a nice walk out and not too far from town. The children's play area is ideal for toddlers that are a bit adventurous with a small climbing wall as well as the usual swings etc. We also walked around the lake which was nice although... More

The lake in this park was originally one of Sheffield's early reservoirs, and as a result, is much deeper than might be expected (about 60ft). It contains some decent sized fish, including large carp. The grass tends to suffer from the disposable BBQs of local students in the summer. There are a couple of bowling greens, and a children's playground,... More

Working near this is the ideal place to get away from it all and take your lunch for a mid day picnic - quite and peaceful

This is the perfect place for a lunchtime stroll away from the office. The centrepiece is the lake which used to be a reservoir called the Old Great Dam. There are fish in the lake and very often a few fisherman trying to catch them. Benches are located around the perimeter of the lake with ample seating. In addition the... More

A pleasant park situated next to the University of Sheffield. I used to walk by or through it regularly when I was a student there. Today, it hasn’t changed much. The sloping green areas, the lake, the bowling greens and children’s area. Being a reservoir originally, there’s a Dam House, which is now a thriving restaurant. The park is a... More
