I go in here often for a pint and usually tempted to have a meal too. Its spacious, friendly, clean. Serve food all day and its good value and not expensive. The real ale is well kept - usually a choice of three. God range menu with some cheap options for lunch at only £3.00. Never been disappointed. TV shows... More

I often visit this pub after returning to Sheffield after visits to other towns and cities via the train station. There are plenty of seats, a big selection of ales, and also hendos crisps! (Always welcome after a protracted pub crawl!) The staff are always friendly and welcoming - even keeping the pub open longer than they usually would to... More

Excellent small pub near the station. Not too loud, easy level of noise to hear friends conversations. Music system in the background pretty poor. Comfortable seating. Good temperature. Clean toilets.

The olde-style building of The Old Queen's Head contrasts extraordinarily to the dreary brutalist architecture that surrounds it. The location at first seems odd, despite its proximity to Sheffield Hallam the area feels like a disused industrial back street. However, the pub itself maintains a nice atmosphere on the terrace outside, as well as in the pleasant inside. It took... More

As a student in Sheffield in the 1980's the Old Queens Head, although a nice looking establishment - was shunned by myself and fellow students as well as many of our lecturers - due to it's lack of cask ale. Visiting again 33 years later I was delighted to find that the pub is now well stocked with the real... More

The oldest pub in Sheffield according to some. Exterior is half timbered . Inside wooden and tiled floors. Very clean. Good food and very good value. Thwaites Lancaster Bomber is recommended. Definitely worth a visit.

Take a step back in time by visiting one of the oldest pubs in the country. Sad to say that it has had some modernisation but still has the charm, especially when looking from the outside. Great atmosphere, great ales and great clientele. Enjoy.

Called in on my way to a meeting at around 4.45pm and was surprised at the over all appearance of this pub. I used to think it was a bit grubby well it's not now. Nicely laid out and interesting historic building and original in every way. quite a few customers enjoying the sunshine sat outside. A pint of Guinness... More

We're staying in Sheffield until Tuesday and found this pub on the real ale app. We've been in every day for 3 days it is that good. Today we decided to have something to eat and the food was fantastic. All on time, hot and good quality. We can really recommend this venue and look forward to going back next... More
