Apart from providing a nice view for guests in the nearby hotel, the Peace Gardens are a beautifully quiet little oasis in the middle of the city. The running water on all sides promotes a marvellous feeling of well being and brings a fresh zing to the air. Plenty of places to sit in a clean and well looked after... More

Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Even though children running round and chasing birds, it did not detract from experience.

The Peace Gardens is a great place go visit in Sheffield and you simply cannot miss it if you are walking around the city centre. It is amazing in the summer as you can even use it for sunbathing!

Main features are the fountains which my 6 year old grandson loved. The old stately architecture of Sheffield Town Hall now faces new hotels and other new buildings, and it is a safe area for pedestrians.

Only go to Sheffield about once or twice a year with family, but always go to the peace garden before eating and then the theatre.

As soon as it's above 15 degrees, I always head over to the peace gardens. There is so much to look at, and the greenery is very well kept. It's lovely to watch the families and kids playing in the fountains, however what I like most is that it's never too noisy. It's a perfect place to eat lunch in... More

The Peace Gardens are built like a huge amphitheatre with steps that have streams of water cascading down them.. However ,most tourists miss the walkway behind the greenery and the Rhododendron bushes. Here you will find an old friend of... More
