I don't cycle, but have walked a fair amount of the TPT with/ my dog, its great to know that you won't have to worry about any cars and motor bikes. The terrain is varied and passes through woodland, golf courses etc.

The Trans Pennine runs from the east to west coast. Linking up with numerous other tracks and is part of the national cycle path. Choose your distance and enjoy a traffic free ride. It's brilliant. Finally lottery money well spent.

Visited the website and found out a free car park and managed a spot although it is so tiny!! The trail is a good walk, it was a warm day so very busy with cyclists and dog walkers like ourselves. Could do with cyclists sticking...More
