Visited the Outdoor takeaway cafe . Very overpriced . A cup of teabag tea £1.80 !! Usually very little food left. As an aside the flower shop lady in the horse box next door always gives a smile.

Pluses: Staff very friendly and helpful. Good presentation with a variety of products on display. Minuses: Pies in freezer section were topped with filo sheets and ingredients so incredibly thinly spread, not enough to even feed a mouse and the salmon pie was only 17% salmon content! A member of staff was wiping down the fridge display front of deli counter before coming back round to serve me without washing her hands. Thankfully, the cheese was pre-wrapped. The cheese itself was dire, very dry, no moisture and tasteless.…

Please contact Jess, our retail manager, as we would value your specific feedback about the cheese you purchased. All staff have been reminded about the requirement to wash hands after cleaning.

Christmas presents are now in store great ! BUT beware they sell boxes of cheese and wine with a 6 November 2020 sell by date ?!? These are inside the special Christmas area for £25 for an average wine and 3 blocks of cheese which by Xmas will be Shropshire Blue. A response was sent directly to this customer. We added additional signage to the display as soon as you raised your concern, to highlight that the hampers are available all year round and to check use by date if required for a Christmas present. The Retail Manager did explain that we were utilising all space in the farm shop to allow social distancing and therefore there were other products in the Christmas room, as well as products specifically for Christmas. All individual products have a use by or best before date on, to comply with legislation.

The food and service at the Ludlow Kitchen was exceptional when we visited on Thursday 22nd October. Our bacon and no-name cheese (it is actually called that!) baguette was glorious and tasted divine. Charlotte, our waitress, was prompt and courteous, and was clearly working to a well rehearsed Covid system to keep visitors as safe as possible. I have no hesitation in giving this excellent venue a straight 'five points'.…

We always call in to the Farmshop when we are in the area. Much of the food can be purchased in Ludlow, usually at slightly cheaper prices, but we do like the local beers, gin and whisky that the shop stocks. We are all aware of the need for stringent Covid safety measures but the very officious woman on the door took it to extreme lengths. We were told very brusquely to stand outside and wait for other shoppers to leave, and although we counted eight people leaving we were still not allowed in. We felt we were very badly treated, and felt even more sorry for two elderly ladies standing behind us who were treated just as rudely. We were eventually allowed in but by then we had decided not to purchase anything and we left, and are unlikely to be returning. …

I am sorry that you found our staff member to be rude. This has been brought to the attention of the Retail Manager, who will remind all staff of the need to be strict but also polite at the same time.
