A beautiful parish church which resembles a cathedral. Friendly guide inside with an offer of a leaflet to support our visit. We climbed the tower at the cost of £8 for two adults. Spectacular views from the top but not for the faint hearted. A rather claustrophobic spiral staircase of 200 steps with a rope handle up. Stunning stain glass... More

St Laurence's is a medieval church in the heart of Ludlow and its tower can be seen high above the other buildings. It's a delightful Church crammed full of history and there are various knowledgeable people within who are more than happy to discuss its history, though at the entrance there is a very informative video to watch as well.... Fascinating church with knowledgable volunteers, keen to share their enthusiasm for this beautiful building. The stained glass, history and really lovely carved seats are well worth seeing.

Set back a little bit, this is a lovely church with a vast history. There is a suggested £3 donation, so no pressure there and we were welcomed by a cheering old lady who gave us a leaflet and some quick directions. Fabulous medieval stained glass in some parts which are worth the visit alone. Not really a church person,... More

We popped in and spent a happy hour wandering around this very attractive church. We were welcomed by a charmimg guide and pointed in the direction of the misericords and other features. Very impressive carvings, glass and a decorated ceiling. Good gift shop and loos too. And the bells rang cheerfully. Worth a look.

Such a disappointing visit! The whole building gives an impression of clutter, mess and untidiness; plastic chairs seem to be breeding in every corner! Similar size church buildings do not give this impression when one walks around them. Why does a beautiful church like this have to look like this? Like a tip! Secondly, the Christmas tree with what looks... More
