I don't care where you are from, your political views or whatever.. this place is an opportunity to step back in time and experience what the Tudors or even earlier were walking over. This is no Chatsworth House.. this is a bare bones honest slightly...More

From the moment you ring the bell to the end of your visit it is unbelievable that this lodge is owned by one person. Mr Pearson answered the door. He apologised as he had a bad nights sleep. What a fascinating man. The whole of...More

This house is absolutely gorgeous from the outside, and inside there are many rooms to explore. The wood panelling is gorgeous, and there's some lovely paintings. The rooms are sparsely furnished, largely left bare. This is understandable when you consider that the poor owner gets...More

We visited this Tudor home rather than the ruin of Ludlow castle. The eccentric gentleman who let us in, made our day. I only wish we had taken a photo together with him. The house is in need of attention but we loved it. The...More

What a little gem of a place to visit. I find it incredible that nobody is stepping in to help the owners preserve this magnificent building. Well worth a visit. The doors and pannelling are superb.

The quality of the 16th century paneling, and woodwork in general, in the ten rooms available to the public is incredible. Most panels are finely carved and there is one magnificent Tudor fireplace. As others point out, none of the rooms have any contemporary furnishings,...More

I wanted this place to be good, and from the outside it looks superb, but inside it's practically empty. Who's responsibility the Lodge is I don't know, but Ludlow Council should take a hand here. They have a magnificent Tudor Hall and it could complement...More

To be allowed to wander around this wonderful old house was a privilege. We were awe struck by the beauty and majesty of the place. Although it held no period furniture you could imagine the rooms in their former glory. Lovely William Pearson, who lives...More
