This is a great place for a walk, long or short. Lots of parking, good map board and if you get to the top, fabulous views! You can make various loops around the forest and lots of the tracks are hard-ish surface so good even...More

We thought we would attempt the less arduous green walk but took a wrong turn and ended up on the longest. Some beautiful quiet country, the dog loved it. Get a map if you are as bad at directions as I am!

We spent a day walking the forest and it was lovely. The trails are clearly marked and the footing is good. You can do a leisurely walk or kick it up a bit by doing the hills.

Our walk began at Ludlow Castle and took us up and through fields and into Mortimer Forest. Near the castle and river beautiful beech and Yew trees can be seen. Up through meadows we passed conifers and more beech... a fabulous afternoon walk.

We followed the very well marked 'red' trail and it was a good round walk which involved no getting lost at all (take note Wyre Forest !). Some lovely views, spring flowers, including an abundance of violets, and we were serenaded by cuckoos most of...More

We had some time to kill in Ludlow so decided on a 5 mile circular walk from Ludlow. Starting at the castle the route took us through Whitcliffe Common to Ludford. A little bit of walking along the main road then led to a footpath...More

Well signposted paths of various lengths. Fairly good underfoot even after all the rain. Can download leaflet from Internet.
