We went here as we were staying local , not had a particular interest in military history. Really interesting and enjoyable , the castle is well maintained. The history and displays are worth seeing for £4 if you’re in the town.

I didn't go into the museum but I went in the grounds and went up to see Laura's Tower- which had incredible views of the surrounding area. Well worth a visit!

This is a well curated museum within the castle and a few minutes walk from the station. Indeed, we visited the museum during the prolonged changeover for a train in to Wales. The museum is housed within parts of the ancient red sandstone castle and...More

If you enjoy looking at army memorabilia past& present then this is great. Only a small museum but still interesting as it’s all housed in a castle. Staff are very friendly & helpful.

Nice little castle, well preserved, and interesting museum. Just wish the museum was more about the history of the castle and less about the past and present military. Still interesting, though.

This museum inside Shrewsbury Castle places great emphasis on military history; it might be less interesting if you are not that into the army. The building itself is, however, by all means worth a visit, even though on a hot day it gets rather stifling,...More

Situated in the remains of the castle this beautiful building houses a museum to the old local regiment. Interesting walk around and like looking back at things from the two wars

I went in April 18 and it's still £4 for adults. Well worth it.
