Central location by the lovely Poultry Bridge. Offers a mix of a permanent collection and high quality temporary shows. We saw an excellent exhibition of reportage photography but we've seen paintings, etc.on previous visits to Bath. Recommended.

It's free entry to gallery with exhibition of porcelain and different paintings. On the ground floor was local artist exhibition (Peter Brown), which was really enjoyable if you listen to audio where artist talks about his painting.

This is a lovely place to pass an hour or 2. There's an excellent collection of glass and ceramics. The main gallery is well laid out and has a few gems, well worth a visit.

I particularly wanted to see an photographic exhibition the 'incite project' based upon some of the most important world events that have a common theme of humanity. The images are stunning and are largely reportage with some moving scenes that reduced my wife to tears at one point. At intervals young guides talk you through their chosen work and what... More

Really lovely place to drop into on a rainy winter afternoon. The exhibition was a good size and had some interesting interpretative signs, making the content very accessible for everyone, not just those with a lot of knowledge of art. There was also a fantastic exhibition of paintings of Bath, which we really enjoyed. The art gallery is in a... More

The Victoria Art Gallery has a relatively small collection. There are a few pieces by well-known artists including Gainsborough and Rex Whistler. The Gallery also has temporary exhibits on the lower floor. There also appeared to be facilities for families to come and do art related projects. A join ticket can be purchased that gives you admission to the gallery's... More

This opened today and I was privileged to be one of the early birds this morning. This is an absolutely amazing exhibition! I don't really "do" art but each individual photo on show here is unique and tells a story - the best modern history and humanity lesson I've ever seen. So good and poignant I needed tissues for a... Not very big, but a nice little collection - all are donated to the gallery and whilst they do have paid exhibitions its great that there's a free collection. Definitely worth popping in if you like art.

Some really nice porcelain and glass before entering the gallery itself. I was curious about patch boxes, I had heard of pill boxes and snuff boxes but never patches, The attendant didn't know the answer, but by the time I got round all the interesting paintings, she had the answer (Ladies beauty spots). Some really interesting paintings, and some showing... More
