This is well set up so you can easily navigate the baths in some sort of logical order. The audio tour is good and you can choose which items to learn about by dialling in the corresponding number of the exhibit into your handset. It...More

Loved the Roman baths worth the entry price. We spent a good two hours walking around and the radio guide was very informative

An interesting historic experience, but pick your time because it does get very crowded. Probably the sort of thing you need to do at least once, but then you've got it covered and not much changes for a second visit.

We visited the Baths on a Sunday in February and even then it was very busy! Would really only recommend if you are interested in Roman England otherwise when compared to Roman remains in other countries would probably disappoint!

Are we allowed to visit the Roman Baths Gift Shop even if we have not visited the Roman Baths? We visited the Roman Baths in July 2017 and we loved it. We also loved the gift shop, where we bought lovely hand cream, soaps, lip butters and bags. My husband went back later and bought me some gifts that I really enjoyed during this last autumn. Today,on our new trip to Bath, we went back to do some more shopping, but this time we didn't visit the Roman Baths first, we went straight into the gift shop, from the street. We were met with a hostile suspiciousness that made us really uneasy. I felt, during the whole visit, that someone is staring at us, and whenever I looked up, I was met with a hostile look from at least one of the three female staff members. My husband has been wanting to by me some more presents but I felt so uneasy that I just bought a couple of things and went to the check out. There, I remembered that I had forgotten my card at the hotel, I was embarrased by this and tried to smile to the shop assistant while my husband payed. NO more smiles from the staff here. They ignored us until we had gone out of the shop. My husband's first comment when we got outside was "I guess they have had a LOT of trouble with thefts since we were here the last time". For my part, I was just dissapointed since I had been looking forward to this since we were last here. But then it hit me, maybe you prefer to have customers only coming directly from the museum? Maybe we are not supposed to go into the gift shop when we haven't first payed a ticket to the museum?

Hi Joelle. Last entry is 5pm, exit at 6pm so if you come to the Roman Baths around 3pm you will have lots of time to look around the museum and the torchlit Great Bath which will be dark around 4pm.
