Free Admission to the collection, which included several Gainsborough paintings beautifully preserved. There were several rooms of china, porcelain, silver and silverware. Simply delightful museum.

One of the finest Georgian properties in Bath, used in films and you can understand why. The art is incredible, there are quirky ways of displaying items, which is fun. Children can open drawers to make there own discoveries, frankly l have never come across...More

Disappointing overall and relatively expensive for what there is to see. The Holburne is in a beautiful period building and in a superb setting. Going there periodically we like the special Exhibitions. The other displays are of course superb but we have seen them often....More

There is parking in the grounds. Location is very central to Georgian Bath. The cafe serves a good selection of snacks (& hot food). Staff are all extremely helpful and cheerful. The museum itself has recently been updated and all objects and art are superbly...More

Lovely place, set in wonderful gardens. Our French friends were very impressed with the art on display. After looking around we had tea and cakes in the superb glass cafe attached at the back, this could be the best secret cafe in Bath.

Visit here to be amazed. Nothing from the outside but the inside will certainly wow you, exhibitions change here but certainly worth a visit and very close to the centre of Bath.

Sir William Holburne (1793-1874) left his collection to the City of Bath which since 1916 has been housed in the Holburne Museum the former hotel gateway to the Sydney Pleasure Gardens. Highly recommended museum, coffee and gift shops.

It looks as though your question has been answered. We are only ever in Bath from Monday to Friday (never at the weekend)

Quite near - about a mile. Not a difficult walk and there's plenty to see along the way. Or you can take one of the University buses (during term time) from the bus station, near the railway station, as far as St Mary's... More
