We caught the boat at Bathamptom Mill, you can park in the pubs carpark and get on the boat on a little jetty, on a fine day it's a great way to get into bath, no need to park, it takes you to Pulteney Bridge, which is quite central for town, the cost is £5.00 each way or if you... More

We took this hour-long cruise to Bathhampton one afternoon on the placid River Avon. Saw our first kingfisher along the river. The commentary from the captain/guide was interesting in terms of the history of the local area.

We have been on other boat trips that have been more interesting, however the highlight for me was seeing a kingfisher flying passed. We sat on the top deck near the rear of the boat and struggled to hear the brief commentary that was given. The trip was a pleasant end to a day walking around Bath.

Would highly recommend this trip, never realised how beautiful & quiet it was along the river & really nice views. Very reasonable priced & would do it again!!

We picked up the boat at the Bathampton Mill. Easy to park in their car park. £5 a head if you buy a single or £9 for return. The trip to the centre of Bath takes around 45 minutes and the guide is full of interesting information about everything that you see from the history of both mills near the... More

A very pleasant way to spend an hour on the river. We met the boat under Poultney Bridge, next to the Weir. We had a fantastic journey up river and back. On the return journey from Bathampton the boat skipper gave a very interesting commentary on local river facts. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

We were walking along the Avon river and we reached the Pulteney Princess just on time for the 3:40 p.m. trip. There was noone else there, so it turned to be a private one-hour trip to Bathampton Mill and back for my wife and me at the very reasonable price of 8 pound per person. We had a nice chat... More

Caught the last boat taxi of the day into Bath from the Bathampton Mill pub, didn't expect too much from the trip, we were simply happy to see a different view of Bath. The boat was rather busy which was a good sign, good value at £5 each, some small snippets of info about the area, just the right amount... More

We went on a wet day and this particular boat is covered but with lots of windows so you can see most things as you go by. Commentary on the return trip was good and both captain and guide picked out the different wildlife. Good value. A pleasant trip.

Thank Paul C
