THe Ancient High House is a MUST SEE if you visit Stafford main town centre. It is a significant piece of local history providing a snapshot of past life and a reflection of the beauty and wonder of buildings of old.

Free entry, friendly staff. Just meant to pop in for a quick look but spent an hour in there absorbing the sense of history, amazed at the original timbers and structure in place with well illustrated histories of the building from its first inception.

Viewing and reading the different messages in all the rooms was informed and kept to known facts. The history is fascinating and an important part of the town it is today.
