Whether a fleeting visit or a more organised trip the Cathedral, the Tower Gate, the Rose Garden/Rectory and the ancient ruins of St Edmund's Alter, where the Magna Carta was ratified are a very worthwhile trip. I will definitely spend more time visiting next time...More

We wandered into the cathedral and were greeted and made to feel welcome. We were also given information about the cathedral and then we wandered around on our own. Very peaceful and a good place to reflect and take time out.More

Just lovely. Well worth a look if you are in bury. Very calm and beautiful. The Abby gardens are also nice.
