This is a regular visiting venue for my wife and myself and our extended family. The active saxon village is a must for the whole family and illustrated information adorns both the ticket office/shop and the adjacent cafe. The cafe serves fresh hot and cold...More

We brought the dog here and had a wonderful good long walk in the sunshine. The trail is long enough for a slow hour long walk, there is plenty of little things to do and see. Really love the cafe too - we sat outside.

Thank you for such a positive review. Re-enactors certainly help to bring the Village to life. Regarding the car parking machines, we will always give change or you can now come to the visitor centre and pay with a card.
