An interesting house with a fascinating history and a number of references to Beatrice Potter. Set in very open but nice grounds Small garden and other areas under development. Very small tea room with some outdoor seating.

We enjoyed our visit to the House and Gardens. The information provided by knowledgeable guides added to the occasion. We particularly liked the display of dahlias adjacent to the House entrance.

Didn't know of the Beatrix Potter connection before the visit but now I've seen the original Jemima Puddleduck! A lovely house with nice gardens. Worth a visit.

Melford Hall is a beautiful and well-maintained National Trust property. It has very interesting exhibits, including a number of Beatrix Potter-related items. The volunteers are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. An enjoyable visit!

Unfortunately we will be closed. The House and Garden will re-open on Wednesday 1 April. We will be open Wednesday to Sunday from 1 to 5pm plus Bank Holiday Mondays until Sunday 1 November.
