What a great place to take the kids

We've been walking at Box Hill since my daughter was about 2. There are several trails (you can pick up a leaflet from the kiosk) and several have great things for the children... read more

We went on a blustery day and aimed straight for the play trail - 3 kids needing some outdoor play. To be honest it was disappointing. The trail is well marked, the idea is fantastic but my goodness, basically it is a lot of balance logs and dens over a 2 mile trail. A few other items but no real... More

We've been walking at Box Hill since my daughter was about 2. There are several trails (you can pick up a leaflet from the kiosk) and several have great things for the children to explore and become better connected to nature. We usually take a picnic and stop at one of the branch huts or play areas somewhere along the... More

I paid £4 for 4 hours of parking. Me, my husband, 2 kids and 2 other families all met up today and went for a 2 hour walk around the trail. There is a map and you can choose to take a short, medium or long walk. There are loads of things to climb and play with as you go... More

This is a lovely location although it can be very popular in the summer. Some fairly steep and strenuous walks on chalk, so not good in wet conditions. On a quiet day, lovely place to explore and enjoy birds and butterflies on the chalk meadows and in the woods.

I walked up from Burford Bridge and made it up to the top, with difficulty, the tracks are very muddy this time of the year so wellies or walking boots are a must! I walked back down to the stepping stones and along the Mole Valley back to our hotel. It was a very pleasant walk of a couple of... More

Great family walking trails. Beware of high costs if you visit the shop for gifts or food. Plenty to keep youngsters happy on junior trails.

From the view point at the top, roll down to the bottom, great fun for kids and adults alike.Great views from up here and beautiful colours in autumn. Excellent for dog walks too and in warm weather, for picnics.

A brilliant hill and location. The area is beautiful and fantastic for walking and cycling. If you plan to drive, I would not bother. The cyclists have a monopoly so leave them to it.

We always come here with our children. Beautiful views, yummy berries in autumn. Parking should be free.
