Kenilworth Castle is a fine example of Elizabethan history. The site isn't as big as other similar sites, but what it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in atmosphere and a fulfilling experience. Every time we've visited Kenilworth, there has been some event or other taking place. These have included falconry displays, knight training for the children and... More

We went to the princess and knight themed day and it was brilliant for the children. There were different activities for the children to do such as sword fighting, archery class and story telling. As well as looking around the castle ruins itself. We took a picnic as lots of picnic spots on grass and a few benches to eat... More

First impression not great,as entrance very badly sighed and awkward to turn into.Could easily be remembered. The English Heritage lady in the shop seemed quite taken aback that I would rather pay £11 to visit than £55 for the years membership. Some of us travel rarely! The castle itself was magnificent-quite enormous though a ruin. Bitterly cold day, which curtailed our visit... More

We had a bit of time to fill in at Kenilworth whilst waiting for some family members to arrive. We decided to take a quick look at the castle. A quick look? No way! We were there for a couple of hours and could have stayed longer. It is a fascinating place, rich with history and the audio guides are... More

Went with family. Mediaeval fair on, very interesting. In some ways the ruins add to the character of the place. A re-enactment of the famous siege took place and it was done with great gusto. Only a short walk out of Kenilworth but there are free shuttles.

Not only is it beautiful, in beautiful surroundings, but it has everything you need for exploring a castle - steps, passages, tunnels, lots of rooms and different floors, and even superb grassy slopes for rolling down. I've been probably 30 times and we still love it. The audio tour is good, and the information around the site is good too.... More

I visited here whilst I was in Coventry for a Rugby league match. The entry fee is £10.10. As I am a Life Member of Historic Scotland, I get free access. The grounds and buildings are amazing. There is lots to read and see around the property. As I had to get to my match, I only spent around 90... More
