About
The Attic Theatre is the No.1 fringe theatre in Stratford upon Avon and home to award-winning 'Tread the Boards' Theatre Company. In 2016 we begin the year with Romeo & Juliet, the only Shakespearean play being performed in Stratford during the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. First established in 2009 by Tread the Boards, an award winning theatre Company. This unique, riverside theatre is located in the heart of Shakespeares' birth town. This unique space is housed in a Grade 2 listed 15th century building and seats just 89 people. This makes for a very personal and intimate theatrical experience.

Wind in the Willows
Aug 2020
Went to see Wind in the Willows an outdoor production at Cox's Yard. A thoroughly engaging performance with good actors. Children present enjoyed it greatly.

Tread the Boards are touring with this production for the whole of April. If you can get tickets do see the show, the theatre company needs your support.

They are back!
Three cheers! Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger have woken from hibernation and entertained us outside at Binton Social Club.
A great show enjoyed by all the family.

Extremely talented

Extremely talented and so resourceful. You feel yourself getting fully lost in the story despite the small space. I’d love to see what they could do if they had more funding and were given a bigger stage

Panto for Adult
Jan 2020 • Couples
Panto time oh yes it was!
The Adult Panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, was fabulous, laugh at the tongue in cheeky humour at its best. Interacting with the audience, no hiding at the back here! What a way to end their season, we look forward to returning oh no you don’t, oh yes we do!

Jack and the Beanstalk
Jan 2020 • Couples
This was an amazing show. It just goes to show what can be achieved when actors rely upon their talent as opposed to technical wizardry! I give this show 10/10 for the sheer brilliance of the performance, the enthusiasm and stage craft of the actors to create such a memorable panto. Well done everyone, we'll be back.

First visit to this intimate venue and we were very impressed. We took our grandson to see Jack and the Beanstalk. The cast showed tremendous enthusiasm and ability. Children were mesmerised and amused (as were the mums and dads). Well done to everyone involved.

Excellent production of Jack and the Beanstalk

Cast excelled with the performance and fully entertained the Adults as well as the children

Performed to a full house which says it all

Other performances throughout the year have been very professional and will be going again in 2020

2019 Panto Jack and the Beanstalk
Dec 2019
Saw Jack and the Beanstalk last night and it was superb, just as Aladdin was last year. The theatre itself is so intimate that you have no option but to leave your inhibitions at the door and participate. It’s hilarious, the cast are brilliant and the interaction between cast and audience is huge fun for kids and adults alike. Even Daisy the cow is awesome! Thanks so much TtB for giving us the perfect panto experience. See you next year!
