We where asked if we wanted to go on a boat on the Avon as we entered the square, we said yes and it was a great trip we had an electric tour guide, which was great.

We walked downstream from Stratford as far Welford-on-Avon and back. Good paths most of the way, well signposted, with only small areas a little muddy which given the weather was not surprising. Easy walking would suit most generations with plenty to see along the river.

You can enjoy the Avon riverside at any time of year. But it is more interesting, colourful and enjoyable when the weather is warmer!

Some say you only need to be Stratford for a day. I was there for 3 days and I will go back and stay much longer.

The gorgeous weather just lured me out there along the Avon. I wasn't expecting the village to be in such a lovely setting. I'll be back.

I didn't do the entire walk but loved the walk I took from Holy Trinity Church, over the Avon, and back into town. The view of the church from the other side of the river is fantastic. I watched as a barge was steered through...More
