We have been here several times over the years as there are interesting buildings and shops around. We particularly like Mr Thorntons shop at the top end as we are collectors of Moorcroft pottery

I was fortunate to have arrived quite late, so most of the tourists had gone. It meant I could see all the lovely old buildings in the streets and really appreciate them. Definitely worth a wander and take a look in the museum shop too.

This is a lovely place to look round, shop owners and waiting staff in restaurants are chatty, lovely people. Lovely historic features everywhere, would visit again, can recommend the bakery and an amazing Cheese shop!

This is a busy little street leading to the birthplace museum and Jester statue. There are several cafes for a cuppa or a bite to eat.

The small markets were lovely, I've found good items at a good price. A good option when buying presents for family and friends.

A pedestrian street with a lovely atmosphere, great independent shops like Bright Ideas, Magpie and Alohomora. Good tea rooms and cafes like Bensons and Food of Love. The Victorian Festival in December is a must for next year.
