I visited during a National art exhibition, which, although not my favourite pastime, I thoroughly enjoyed and well worth my visit. Refreshments are served, which I thought were of a good standard and relatively in-expensive.

What a beautiful environment to visit. From the walk through the stunning landscape to the gallery & diversity of exhibitions. Loved the Whistler exhibition & eclectic collection "six artists cellebrate Enid Marx & the British Folk Art". Highly recommend a visit.

It's not a national trust property! It is maintained (I believe) by the heritage trust.
