We were not too sure about this attraction but this was down to the exhibition was consisted of the innards of various washing machines hung from the roof or maybee we missed the point. I suspect how good it is depends on the currant exhibition. The gift shop was nice.

We had been told that this was a good spot to visit but the exhibition on display was horrendous. Some of the exhibits were ghoulish and off-putting to most folk especially me, who is not an artist but one floor was based on frothy bubbles exiting from various motor vehicles parts - engine orifices exhaust and anything else to do... The Ikon Gallery is located in the Brindleyplace area of Birmingham, close to Broad Street. The gallery has been converted from an old school house and is laid out over two floors, with a lift for those unable to manage the stairs. Birmingham born Roger Hiorns is currently on display until early March. There's a wide range of his thought... More

I popped into this gallery to while away some time and found it really interesting and found an artist that I really like and possibly purchase from. Definitely worth a visit and displays do change.

An attractive building and we loved the lift, which is a permanent exhibit and a "must hear". The experience as a whole depends on what is being exhibited, I don't think there is any standing collection. We were intrigued - but not convinced - by the Roger Hiorns exhibition that was on when we visited. The horizontal choir was an... More

Check out what is on and the Spotlight tours are a revelation. The Ikon has been an ikon for many years and is a must visit if you are interested in the world of modern art.

We had a very nice lunch of Egg Benedict (Spinach for herself and salmon for me). Good service and seemingly fresh ingredients we were very happy although maybe the muffins could have been a bit larger to do justice to the excellent eggs.

Lovely atmosphere in this small gallery. Good use of space & light. Holds some interesting exhibitions. The shop sells an interesting array of local products: jewelery and other artworks. The cafe serves a decent variety of good food & is lovely to sit outside in the summer. Well worth a visit.

This gallery makes great use of an old Gothic design school which means that, as a bonus, you get to see architectural features close up. There were quirky, thoughtful exhibitions on when I went and I imagine that the standard will always be high. I had several interesting conversations with the very knowledgeable staff there. Well worth a visit.
