We visited the museum as part of this years heritage weekend and were amazed that such a wonderful museum of train history was on our doorstep. We were very sorry to hear that it is closing down very soon :(

A great place to see some unique (truly unique - sole survivors!) items of electric railway rolling stock. There are EMUs, locos, and an APT power car. Modernish railway heritage - much of it older than most of the visitors we saw there today.

It is definitely a visit for all ages. And young boys and girls would enjoy the information available in the museum. The history of the Electric railway is impressive indeed
