Arundel Castle is a must-see in the area. This really well maintained castle has a lot to offer anyone who decides to visit it. You can go exoloring the watch towers, the chapel, the living quarters, the dry moat, the armour collection etc. On the day we visited there were also actors dressed in armour doing a battle re-enactment which... I went when they had all the folks who love recreating days of yonder past for us to enjoy! The music, craftsmen and women were perfectly dressed and showed how the various crafts and skills were done in the glory days. Best was the falconry, with skilled trainers of these lovely birds of prey showing their skills and value to... More

Good family day out, gardens are beautiful. Expensive but can understand because it's huge, did see dove body wash in the bathrooms, which I'm guessing the family use. Beautiful castle lots of history to be read and seen.

We visited on a beautiful autumn day on a Silver package. We managed to have just enough history packed in at the castle before we headed for a lovely stroll in the gardens. This place really is a must-see in the area.

The rose garden was a bit of a disappointment but the rest is superb. I will come back as it's a really beautiful place

Thank you for visiting Arundel Castle & Gardens and for your kind words. The Rose Garden that occupies the site of a Medieval bowling green is planted with lovely heavily scented old-fashioned English Roses that are at their very best in June and July. More

We spent several hours exploring the buildings and grounds of Arundel Castle. Several walled gardens to appreciate, watch towers to climb, and palatial rooms to be impressed by, all part of the Arundel Castle experience. There are priceless paintings and artifacts everywhere and a beautiful household chapel that has served the Roman Catholic Dukes of Norfolk for hundreds of years.... More

Although we have lived in or near West Sussex for many years, this was our first visit to the Castle and it was well worth it! A beautiful sunny, Sunday on the last day of their season with comparatively few visitors. We toured the gardens and chapel first and then walked round the dry moat to the main entrance. Warmly... Everytime I was expecting to know a real castle in England and I had a great opportunity when I had been visited this place. The garden is amazing. Even though was autumn, we found beautiful different flowers and plants. It's quite good to get inside the castle. Try to visit all room as you can. It's a good deal!

It feels expensive for what is essentially a private residence but it is is interesting and the volunteers work really hard to give you a worthwhile visit.
