We came across this church while wandering through the town and went in. No charge. The interior is plain with wooden stalls and less and an upstairs balcony. The only significant feature we could see was the triple level pulpit - lowest for the clerk,...More

This is a nice Victorian evangelical Church of England chapel, it is peaceful and unspoilt situated in the centre of Chichester. However, having of a rather puritan reformed background the chapel has a rather cold and empty feel and rather lacks atmosphere.

This is one of the most beautiful churches in this area, rosewood interior with a raised balcony and pulpit. A great place to pray!!

A beautiful Georgian Chapel - unspoiled by progress. A real gem. Thank God that it is in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

It is all too easy to pass by St John's because the exterior is not very inviting. However, once those who venture inside are in for a treat. It may be small, but it is well worth a visit.

I have visited Chichester on day trips for many years and have only recently heard about this chapel from Trip Advisor. It is definitely worth visiting this chapel. It is a time capsule and a lovely place to relax from the busy streets and yet...More
