We had wanted to visit this for years. We'd read that due to vandalism your experience was limited. No, we couldn't actually go into the inner circle. Inside visits are available but book out months in advance which we didn't anticipate. Inner circle visits are...More

We were here 20+ years ago, now a very different experience since the road was removed and the visitor centre moved. We walked the 2km from the new visitor centre, and bussed it back. Very busy but did not detract from the experience.

It was good to see the old megaliths but when I found out that they had been re constructed in the 1920's using cranes it kind of took the magic out of them a little. But saying that the stones are just immense, there's no...More

Prefer this to the overpriced entry ticket. You walk from the visitor centre instead of going on the shuttle bus. The public path is right next to the paid path

Visited the Stones while completing one of Britain's 100 Greatest Walks. While the stones are interesting and a 'Must See' don't just visit the stone's, approaching via the bridle paths gives you time to take in a variety of views of the stones as well...More

Having been crammed into a shuttle bus in order to reach Stonehenge, we opted to walk back along the public footpath. It is a delightful walk of just over a mile across the Downs with some marvellous views. This was much more enjoyable than the...More
