Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and offers an extraordinarily rich and varied day out. Throughout its history, the Castle has been redecorated, enlarged and rebuilt. Today The Queen spends most of her private weekends at the Castle, which is also used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions. Your ticket to Windsor Castle includes entry to our exhibition Waterloo at Windsor.

Wasn't on our original places to visit but certainly glad we made the effort! A wonderful and beautiful place to visit full of history. Make sure you get a talking guide as some of the things we discovered were incredible!

Such a brilliant day out. Really interesting for children too. Loads to do and lots to see. We got there early enough to watch the changing of the guards which I would highly recommended.

Plan on taking a day trip as it's an easy train from London. Well executed and beautiful. We went during the week so the lines weren't long.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the only time we would be in Windsor was prior to the castle being opened for visitors. That didn't stop up though. At 7:00 in the morning, we drove into Windsor and walked up to the main entrance. You can still...More

We traveled via tour bus to Windsor and then spent a lot of time waiting in line to get in where we joined yet more people in queue to see rooms inside of the castle. Maybe we were "toured out" by the time we arrived...More
