Had a very enjoyable tour of the house, it wouldn't take long to walk around alone but our guide was full of information about the family who have owned the house for centuries and the house itself. The house is all wiggly with lots of...More

Points noted about improving the range of postcards. As to the "dubious 1970s bathrooms", these are examples of British heritage at its greatest and in years to come they will have listed status in their own right. Our Pink Bathroom is the pride of Dorney...More

Absolutely delighted that you enjoyed your visit on our first day open to the public this year. Apologies if your tour was "enhanced" by various children (and dog) running amok in the sunshine. The joys of a family owned property! James & Anna

I visited with a friend who lives locally and we found the reception staff very welcoming and friendly. The house itself is amazing and gives a great picture of how life was lived over 500 years ago. So much of the original has been preserved...More

We really enjoyed our visit yesterday to this quirky house, despite the rain. We were in a small group shown around by Ross? He was very informative and amusing, we weren't troubled by the "lockless" lady. We were a group of 3-2 members of HHA...More

We are so happy you enjoyed your visit despite the rain. 30 years ago when we first opened you would have had to slalom around the buckets and pans that were deployed on stormy days given the state of the roof. Happily things are in...More

Thank you very much for such kind words. I wonder whether you were told about the famous egg fights of the 1970s which left the portraits in the Great Hall nicely battered? As for the other "raucous behaviour that has occurred ... over the centuries",...More
