Situated in the old Guildhall, next to Winsor Caste. We were surprised that the entrance fee is only £2 each. It was the history of Windsor told by about 15 sections of images and voice recordings which is best listened too with the free headsets. Some of which did go on a bit too long. One interesting story was the... More

This really is a delightful town ,museum. The museum itself is quite small but it packs quite a lot of Windsor history in its four walls. Free on the day I went, very nice staff offered audio info. The relics and history is very helpful to know, giving a sense of how the town of Windsor was created; fascinating.

We go regularly because during school holidays they always have fantastic family events on. (usually every Tuesday and Thursday.) Today they were teaching about morse code and our son learnt how to send messages using sound and light.... More

It is a tiny museum (30 minutes to see everything). However, very interesting and definitely worth visiting. £2 for an adult's ticket.

This is a part of one of Windsor's met famous buildings, part of which was converted into a museum in recent years. The venue is accessible and the displays are fascinating.

In recent years it has found fame as the registry office for the marriage of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles as well as the civil partnership of Elton John and David Amish... More
