Hidden gem! Great renovation of a theatre and therefore more interesting to visit than a standard museum. Exhibits well spaced. Friendly staff. Perfect for a rainy day hour or two. If you haven't visited a museum then this is the one for you.

This is a fantastic free museum. We go every time we visit Aber. There are free quizzes and things to do sheets for the children to do. Very interesting. Fantastic gift shop with old fashioned toys and games , very reasonable prices.

First floor displays of furniture and china are wonderful. Small but atmospheric reconstructions of rooms. Great shop with a range of unusual gifts, paperware, cards and crafts.

Great place to go on a rainy day, it used to be a concert hall or a cinema? Upper floors are not for the faint hearted!
