I had earmarked a visit here as I had done some history research on the Johnes family and Hafod Uchtryd. The National Resources Wales (English equivalent is the Environment Agency) maps are at the car park by the church. The walks are very good and...More

This place was visited by myself and my wife, it took us roughly and hour or so. There are many steps some of which are steep so consider your level of activeness. The views also are magnificent.

Hafod was an easy, short drive from Devil's Bridge falls. We took the blue-marked "Ladies Walk" hike, which started right off with a tall, stripe-barked conifer forest, a waterfall, and a creek you could walk right into or alongside. The trail continued along the creek...More

Went back to this fantastic estate for a second look after a shorter trip last summer. Merged the coloured walks using a map that you can purchase at the hafod church carpark. Spent the day exploring, despite some path closures, mainly on the red route......More

The drive to Hafod Estate was beautiful, we came from the Devils Bridge direction over the mountain and it was well signposted. We parked at the church and picked up the blue walk down into the valley where we crossed the river and picked up...More

This place was easy to find after a beautiful drive over the mountain road from the Elan valley. We decided to do the "Ladies Walk" in an anti-clockwise direction which allowed for a gentle slope at the start, a steep climb at the end but...More

Yes, very dog friendly with the styles that you lift up to let your dog through. We just went through one field with sheep , but off lead rest of the time and plenty of paddling opportunity for paws!

I don't think so - it is not the sort of place to have any real facilities, just fantastic walks.
