Built in the late 13th century and reputed to be haunted by a past resident, this picturesque castle was built for King Edward I and is a perfect example of the "concentric castle" design.

A great afternoon spent exploring the castle with our 13 and 15 year old teens. They enjoyed the Hunt the Dragon App on the CADW app. There are lots of steps to the top of the towers but the views of the castle and surrounding...More

Conwy castle is gorgeous and definitely worth a visit if you are in this part of the world. Set on the coast of Conwy it's got beautiful scenery and lovely quaint tourist town shops nearby. It's a big castle with lots of towers standing so...More

We visited Conwy Castle today and was impressed with the location and history of the castle. The views from the castle are amazing, views over the bay, and the landscapes. The castle itself is well looked after, with stairwells to turrets providing great views. Spent...More

Another great CADW castle. Amazing views of the town and estuary from the battlements. You can do an entire loop around the battlements which is unusual for a castle anywhere. The towers and rooms are good but lack displays and information. For example there is...More

I came here as a child, and wanted my son to experience it, as we now live in Canada and he has never been in a castle. It was awesome walking the perimeter wall and seeing the sights of the town. The castle it self...More

This was a highlight of our trip, and we spent a great deal of time reading signs, climbing stairs, taking in a fantastic view, and exploring every crevice of the castle. I'm afraid of heights, but this place was manageable.

Big castle with lots to see and lots of information, so definitely worth the entrance fee. The views from the towers are fantastic. Lots on for families.

It's a medieval castle. What can you say!! Very cool to see how well it has withstood time. Also fascinating that the town of Conwy sits within the old castle walls so you get the feeling of what it would have been like to live...More

This castle is so open, you can walk around everywhere. Each section has a name on the wall and a bit of the history. We spend 90 minutes looking and climbing the towers. What a view!

The museum, shop & the grounds are fun you can also go round the ground floor but the ramparts most defiantly not as it would be impossible to do this

A baby in a carrier should be OK. Some of the stairs/passageways can be a bit of a squeeze so some care is needed. Also by baby carrier I suspect you mean one fixed in-front of the body rather than "as a backpack". If... More
