A fascinating visit to a place we have only driven past before. The NT guide there was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the suspension bridge and the family who lived in the toll house

The house belongs to the national trust and is very interesting. Amazing to think it was the way across the water many years ago. Well worth a visit if in Conwy.

Built by Thomas Telford in the early 1820's and it's now a Grade 1 listed structure; it's also the most attractive of the 3 bridges which cross the River Conwy. It's free to walk across during the opening hours and there's a very small tollhouse cared for by the National Trust at the eastern end of the bridge. The best... More

As footbridges go then this is good because it so wonderfully blends in with the rest of Conwy. There are some excellent views of the river and estuary walking across

As we are N T members we decided to go to Conwy, and see this attraction. It's free to walk across the bridge, and it's fascinating to look at the structure. There is a small fee for the toll house unless you are in N T. Interesting to see how small it was.

It's a shame that this beautiful of bridge is now sandwiched between the modern road bridge and a covered (and ugly) rail bridge. Designed to blend with the character of Conwy Castle, it would have been magnificent in its day.

Just visited the Castle. Then I found about suspension bridge. This bridge is managed by National trust. But entry is free. You can view the bridge from the castle and come down from the castle and walk through the side to the bridge. It is only walking bridge and no vehicles allowed.
