Good introduction to glaciation features in Snowdonia and learning to relate book theory into visible evidence.

A interesting weekend walking in beautiful Snowdonia national park learning about the environment, flowers, tree's, plants and geology of the area. The walking was great and the instruction fantastic. Jim was very interesting and pitched the information at the right level. Will definitely go again and recommend it to my outdoor friends.

This weekend I had the pleasure of Jim as my guide for a scramble up Tryfan and Bristly Ridge. It was all very last minute but Jim was able to slot me in and make me feel very welcome and comfortable especially as I have never met him before. We chatted about the plan for the day over a cuppa... More

I had a fantastic day out with Jim learning loads about the alpine flowers of snowdonia. I got far more out of the day than I expected thanks to Jim's tremendous knowledge not just of the flowers themselves but also the overall mountain environment they form a part of. Great to be taught by someone for whom this is a... More

Echoed by other reviewers, Jim has an excellent knowledge about his subject. But I think his real skill is being intuitive to his clients needs and deliver the content in an understandable and informative way. Having been on both the Glaciation and Alpine Flowers course this year, I recommend these courses to any aspirant IML's if looking to lay a... More

This was a great introduction to the alpine flowers of Snowdonia by Jim Langley, which I did as CPD for my Association of Mountain Instructors portfolio. The pace of the day was perfect for me, a relative beginner in this area, and Jim's knowledge was superb. I would heartily recommend any of Jim's courses. Thanks for a great day out Jim.... More

As a fellow outdoor professional I have been on numerous CPD courses with Jim and he far- exceeds similar courses I have been on. What sets Jims courses aside from the rest is his infectious enthusiasm. Its clear that Jims priority isn't to make money, its about sharing his vast knowledge and passion for the environment in which he lives... More
