It was a spur of the moment decision to go in but we were both really glad we did. The tour isnt very long but it's really interesting. Be prepared for the wet and cold and you really need those hard helmets if you are tall. The story of the mine is well told (it makes you very glad you... More

We visited between Christmas and New Year, and while there were a few cars in the car park, had the mine pretty much to ourselves. For a reasonable cost you are given a laminated guide and hard hat, with instructions to follow the route through the mine at your own speed, which is great. (especially if you take the longer... The copper mine is reasonably interesting with plenty of audio stops. Towards the end of the walk there are a few flights of stairs, anyone moderately fit will be fine with this, but people with limited mobility (or very small children) may be better exiting via the entrance. The park/ play area looked good, but on the day we visited... More

We were here out of season so had the place to ourselves (4 of us) which was excellent. The mine is atmospheric and there are lovely stalactites and stalagmites to see and low ceilinged walkways and 186 steps up through the mountain and informative commentaries along the walk. It might be more of a squeeze in busier times. It is... More

Great interaction with an actual copper mine hundreds of years old, interpretations of what everyone and objects looked like long ago, stalagmites and stalagtytes, bats it has it all. Friendly owner and very approachable. Very reasonably priced. I recommend to all!

In the neighbourhood so decided to visit a copper mine for the first time. We were the only ones in the mine and that added to the day. A lot of steps to go down which didn't bring d out until deep in the mine. Also, had to stoop for long periods but were given hard hats. Good video links... More

Informative and interesting visit into the copper mine lots of steeps ladder/steps but well worth the effort, the surrounding area walks are lovely.
