Took me by surprise as I had seen people's pictures but not fully appreciated the natural setting waiting after a very slippery climb.

We had a lovely walk to Fairy Glen, what a lovely river. There are places to picnic and swim in the warmer months. Would definitely go again. Some steep steps (optional) down to the river which some may prefer not to venture.

As soon as you pull up in the car park you are being watched! A little old man glared at us from up at the B&B from the moment we pulled into the car park and made us feel very unwelcome. The glen is very beautiful but the steps leading down to it are extremely dangerous especially as they were... More

Visited here in October 2015 after a spinal injury after a cycling accident and then spinal fusion, With help from son and husband (and encouragement from cocker spaniel), together with faithful stick, I managed to complete the walk down to the Glen and back. It was on my to do list after reading the books of Trevor Brooks. Definitely lived... More

A little gem. So glad we found this place. What a beautiful place. A little slippy in places but on the whole with a good pair of walking shoes on nothing to worry about.

50p to get through the gate then fairly well signed at first. Once you get into the forest it's more challenging underfoot - need decent walking shoes, it's a bit slippery with quite a few steps. When we got to the top of fairy glen we couldn't see how to get down, it looked really precarious, we nearly gave up!... More

Stopped off here on our way back to Shropshire after climbing Snowdon. Its so beautiful. £1 to park and 50p each which helps cover the cost of maintaining the paths. Its privately owned. I want to thank the owners for selflessly sharing this natural beauty with the public. They have dotted benches around in places where you get the best... More

Nice easy walk around the area, very picturesque. Quiet sheltered so even when raining the walk is nice. Take a torch for later afternoon/evening as no street lights (you wouldn't want them as they would stand out too much in the natural surroundings)
