Loved stopping here for an hour or so just taking in the evening views. Free parking and clear water in the lake. Breath taking scenery.

Plenty to do nearby. We went on the lake railway which passes the Slate Museum and Quarry Hospital. We also went kayaking on the lake.

Lake looks spectacular from the roads and mountains. Had a lovely evening walk down the town side but worth walking round by the slate museum. Probably better in the good weather.

The lake is accessible to all with carparks both pay and display and free all close to the shore. Other local attractions close by
