Unfortunately we visited the Opera House in summer period, so there were no performances. But the building is really interesting, giving the Cardiff Bay area a specific atmoshere. Go inside and have a look!!

I read in an early WNO programme that 'Opera is emotion'. If that is the case, then with this production of Tosca at the Bristol Hippodrome, the WNO really nailed it! Brilliant performances by all the cast, outstanding sets and an unforgettable performance by the...More

Could not have expected to have as good a time as we did at the WNO. The theatre is amazing and production outstanding... Never thought I would like the Opera but this was great fun.

I'll start by saying that we like opera, but are not fanatics, we've been to a few all over Europe, but this performance of Puccini's Madam Butterfly was not good. That said, Karah Son was superb in the title role, and held our attention all...More

Both of us love good music and this was my treat for Mary for letting me come into Cardiff and stay with her. We ate out and then enjoyed the rich music and the story of star crossed love.

Outstanding vocal and acting performances and a darkly imaginative production with plenty of humour. Don't miss it if you get a chance.
