From Swansea city centre you wouldn't know this is here, tucked behind a dual carriageway and large leisure centre. But venture down and find laid-back cafes, scenic walks around the boats and plenty of good views.

The marina has an assortment of restaurants and visitor centres. The bus museum and the maritime museum are a must to visit. There are a varied selection of exhibits at the museum.

Very similar to most marina developements. Some nice properties facing the sea but otherwise lots of rented flats some painted in drab colours that are beginning to look old. The highlight is the maratime museum with free entry. Lots of exhibitions to see on a rainy day. Near is the LC2 swimming baths and activity centre that is great fun... More

I have stayed on Swansea Marina several times over the last few years and find it a really nice place to stay. It is mostly quiet and you are close to the promenade and the beach - not the best beach in Wales but still pleasant. Also you can go over the footbridge and you are in a busy city... More

The marina is an interesting place to visit - boats of all sizes and functions in the marina and a promenade by the sea behind. A variety of architectural styles in the various apartment blocks that have been built in the area make for interesting viewing. An observatory is currently being built by the sea wall so that will add... More

I was in college in Swansea and the docks were the area we did not visit. It is now a marina with restaurants shops pubs and attractions. Also Dylan Thomas museum. All worth a visit.

We expected the Swansea Marina to be a busy and exciting place to visit. It was extremely quiet even over a sunny weekend. There are a couple of museums, places to eat, and a parking like station of boats, all shapes and sizes. I guess we expected it to be a mini Darling Harbour, Sydney.
