In its favour this museum was free entry, but I went with my husband, daughter and 4 year old grandson, and thought that there was not enough interactive things within the museum. Several corridors led to nothing and the gift shop was quite expensive.

Spent a few hours exploring the museum. The museum is a free attraction and worth a visit whilst in Swansea. Some interesting displays and artefacts for all ages on two floors. Unfortunately, the lighthouse boat was not open due to maintenance. The cafe offered hot and cold snacks and the shop a range of reasonable price gifts.

The museum promises a lot but somehow fails to meet expectations. I'm not sure what the National word is for though? It could have more child inter-active exhibits.

Went to the Swansea museum first and then the National Waterfront museum, and expected some parts of water/ships/boats to be included. However, mining, steel production and railways was a great exhilbit.

This is a beautiful new building created into a refurbished dock space, which in itself is interesting to see. The museum has some interesting exhibits but is on the small side. The current special exhibit on recycling is excellent. Although the exhibit seems directed to children's level, the adults in our group all found it very good. Special events here... More

Child friendly place but not for the adult going there unaccompanied. Quite interesting in places but have seen other places do similar things better for adults. So for kids on a day where they are doing activities, it probably can't be beaten but for adults, there's more elsewhere.

limited appeal with not a lot of exhibits: there could be so much more in what is an impressive building

This museum is well worth a visit and a place that you could spend all day. The exhibits and history was really interesting to follow. Recommend this place for any family visiting Swansea
