In this, the Catholic area many of the murals are of Republicans such as Bobby Sands and even Nelson Mandela. There's nothing attractive about this or the Protestant Shankhill Road area. It all reeks of an unholy and tentative 'peace' and I could not rate...More

The murals are the best I have seen. Well worth the visit to read the messages and pictures. Provides a look at the reasons for the conflicts in this area not too long ago.

Many years have passed and although tradition and sides exist, cultures are respected and we found that waking the walls.

If for no other reason the visit is worthwhile to see the Catholic side murals of the Troubles including Bobby Sands. It is a sad reminder of that time and also a reminder that the two communities are still divided in their views on NI

We only visited this area as part of the bus tour, but it is nevertheless interesting to hear the political stories and see the murals. If you didnt know about the past you would think that you were on a main road just like anywhere...More

This is the Catholic counterpart of Shankill Road, filled with political murals about 'heroes' of the Republican side, legends like Nelson Mandela or current political developments. Whereas this area felt less disturbing than Shankill Road for me personally, it shows how deep the division goes...More

Gives an insight into the times of 'The troubles'. Several large murals highlighting various events in the period, very well done.

It is very hard to put into words how seeing the murals on the walls etc makes you feel. It must have been so hard to live there in the time of the troubles.

Saw the" Green Side" of things, the opposite of the "Orange Side" on our mural tour. In addition to "national" hero Bobby Sands there were murals dedicated to various leaders in the struggles for nations' or groups independence including Nelson Mandela. One mural was against...More

I got one of the city sightseeing buses - £10 and you can hop on and off for 72 hours. It's not that far to walk from city centre either.
