Total respect for the people living in this area. As a tourist I felt like I was intruding, that was purely my own emotion

Humbling to travel through area on bus and see scenes of previous troubles which had only been snippets on tv previously. Memorials, murals , security measures and all the vivid imagery of what hopefully can be put in the past

On a recent trip around the city, we had the opportunity to see a different point of view. The murals depict a troubled past, but even if you have no interest in the history, the artwork is amazing. I’m so glad I finally got to...More

Important to understand this part of the British isles history. Hop on bus drives through the area of sectarianism and tells the story with no bias. Beautiful murals supporting national and international ideologies and individuals. So sad that the Peace Wall remains, keeping communities segregated.

Shankill Road in Belfast Northern Ireland is the loyalists/Protestant side of the city walls. This is one of the main kick off points for the troubles that have plagued this area for quite sometime. Absolute must see if in Belfast.

We toured this area by bus as part of our group tour. Hearing the story of the troubles, and seeing the graffiti and walls still in place, found this area of Belfast a bit scary and disturbing. Glad I was in a bus!
