Beautiful! If you're looking for an east stroll, not the place, but if you like to hike this is the place to go. Especially if you hike all the way up to the very top of the hill/cliffs. What a fabulous view of Belfast and...More

Weather suppose to be good, so i take my dog to hiking. You park at the Belfast Castle, it's easily enough where you reasonably fit, has bit of uphill where you could find challenging, but overall is very easy. Last 5 minutes before you reach...More

The weather was to be good so we decided to to have an early morning walk. It's challenging, it's steep but what a view when you get to the top. The route is approximately 4 miles, most of the time on a path but for...More

Enjoyed the walk from the Upper Hightown road car park. It was very manageable for those of us who want to take our time. Its a pity that so many dog owners think it is ok to leave bags of dog poo behind. We did...More

The hike up from Belfast Castle is not actually that bad; there are plenty of well defined footpaths and the view from the top is worth the effort.

Such a beautiful walk up to the top of cave hill. So much greenery and fresh air about. It's really relaxing and then you're rewarded up the top with a wonderful view!

Wonderful, easily accessible location for a healthy walk which combines fresh air, nature, geology, archaeology, history and breathtaking views. Obviously more pleasant on a dry, sunny day, but if properly clothed, perfect at any time of year.

There is nothing special to see there. The cave itself is full of litter because teenagers supposedly use it as a hideout. In the summer they sometimes cause wildfires up there

While doable, I don't think it is worth the headache. It's a steep walk and not always smooth underfoot. Sturdy shoes, drinking water, and back up waterproofs if the weather changes is what you should be considering.
