This is a good place for a walk. It is suitable for all abilities. You can park in the National Trust car park (free) or beside the Barn. Good maps, toilets and cafe available. Walk is suitable for most. First part on Tarmac path which...More

My thanks and praise to Jenny at the Black Mountain & Divis National Trust attraction for saving the day last Tuesday, 15th August. While out walking to the spectacular Black Mountain view point over Belfast City, my good friend, visiting from Chicago, discovered he had...More

The city is laid out before you in a panorama when you look down. Looking up from the city it is used for laying out messages, some not complimentary apparently!

For me there is the walk where you turn left after the Coffee Shop and this has a good climb - and then the views after the TV mast, or the longer walk, where you turn right after the Coffee Shop, and the views come...More

Great walk, amazing views. It's very long and very exposed. Whatever the weather, wind, rain or sun, you'll get the brunt of it. The younger kids struggled with the distance. I intend to go back without them!

No trip to Belfast is complete without a hike to the top of the Black Mountain and Napoleon's Nose. It provides great views of the city and excellent exercise to work off all the calories you are consuming on vacation!

Well worth a visit if you are fairly fit and want an alternative view of Belfast and Lisburn. It also provides a chance to really appreciate the scale of the TV transmitter on the summit.

The park is close to the centre of Belfast with free parking. We did a 10k walk. There is a path most of the way round. It's not very hilly. The views from the top are stunning.
