Found this tour whilst staying in Belfast and decided to visit after reading glowing reviews. Really glad that we did. The tour was excellent, lots of interesting information given. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Belfast with some free time.

Very informative and part of recent history. Unbelievable experience especially as many of the former inmates are still alive and have their own stories to tell.

Took a group of students for a tour. Were very impressed. The tour guide Charlotte was informative, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Fascinating insight into crime, punishment and Belfast's turbulent past. Highly recommended.

Brought two friends from England and my daughter. Great guide called Piaras who was enthusiastic and informative. I'd been before and I learned so many new details. Even found out that one of the prison governors was a relation!

it is a bit of a struggle with the stairs my tip is start the day with this tour whilst your legs are fresh - my mistake was doing it at the end of 2 other tours and quite a bit of walking

Yes you can although you are allotted a time with a tour guide so you may have to wait.
