We drove along the Antrim coast on our visit to Ireland, with stops at Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle, and Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day, with views all the way to Scotland in some cases, and the entire...More

I can't help it. I'm jaded. I've driven through the Alps and been along California's Big Sur. So this place was, comparatively, so-so. My wife liked it better. It is picturesque. Probably if we had stopped along the way to get out and enjoy the...More

Our day started and ended in full sun, with clouds, drizzle and downpour inbetween, but that didn't detract from the beauty of the coast. There are many stops to make, and one cannot make all of them and finish this drive in a day. We...More

This drive was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. It was everything we expected Ireland to look like. We even saw Scotland! The ocean was beautiful, as were the rolling green hills. We got out a few times to take pictures and...More

We took the long, lovely drive up the coast road and on some more to Cushendall to catch a boat ride to the island called Ailsa Craig. The road winds all around the Glens of Antrim, and you corner around the many cliffs to see...More

If you're deciding where to go in Northern Ireland, do yourself a favor and drive the Antrim Coast. There is so much to see, and to see most of it takes only a day (a full day, that is). We drove from Belfast, through Coleraine,...More

This road is scary at night. There are the tunnels, built way back in a time of slow horses and carts. You approach in your speedy, heavy car, without much clue of whether someone else will roar around the bend on the other side to...More

Antrim Coast Road is longer following the east coast. Causeway is actually some part of it but just more near of these interesting sights & rocks towards sea.
