The Palace Stables are a lovely spot for a picnic or short walk. I have always found it very quiet and peaceful and beautifully maintained Ample car parking and several picnic tables and a kids playground and adult fitness trail

Great venue for a wedding and all went off perfectly. Suitable room for the ceremony followed by a reception outside in the Courtyard. The hall was transformed into an elegant wedding Banquet Hall and the service and food were outstanding.

Have been here a few times recently. The play park is excellent. There are some beautiful gardens and walks and the ruined friary is well worth a look around. We have had a few meals in the Moody Boar restaurant as well and these have been great. I would highly recommend a visit here for the whole family.

Was here at the end of June could not recommend this place enough. We took a picnic with us, lots of space to eat our picnic just beside the play park which the children ageing from 5 to 11 LOVED... We will be back. Free entry in so even if you are traveling from the south you won't need sterling.

on the day we visited there were many characters in 17th century dress, made us feel a little underdressed, excellent tableaus and scenes were enacted by the cast, sensory garden was very well laid out enabling a wide range of enjoyable interactions to the sensory impaired
