This is a really good course with some great holes. We (4 with hcaps 6,10,14,16) played it twice in benign conditions and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff in restaurant were nice and friendly, those in pro shop were fine - efficient and polite but not...More

An absolute must play if you are in Northern Ireland! Second time I have played and look forward to my next visit! Enjoyed tea and snacks in the restaurant on the second floor overlooking the 18th green!

With beautiful vistas and world class challenging holes, this course is worth any detour to play. On the shore of the Irish Sea, County Down has been the scene of numerous competitions. They could certainly host a British open except that space for crowds is...More

Elegant hotel in a beautiful location. Heavy comforters on bed will keep you warm but a bedsheet between you and the comforter would keep it from getting TOO warm.

We played 8 different courses in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Royal County Down was the best experience by far. My caddie "Barry" treated me like a tour player. Guided me around the course flawlessly, offered great advice and read putts like a magician. The facilities...More

I w a s there in September so I suggest you call the course and ask as winter always presents challenges for places with nearly year-round play. No pun intended. :)
